Len Ward 1921 - 2010 R.I.P.

Local legend and founder of Crackington Haven Surf Life Saving Club sadly passed away recently. The older members of the club will have fond memories of Len on his home made twin fin longboard, taking off out beyond the rest of the pack and cruising through the lineup, often with the cry of 'Coming through'.
Without Len the surf club would not be there today. Not only was he a founder member in 1959 but he kept the club on track during some of its more difficult times.

We're having a paddle out in honour of Len Ward this Sunday 1st August at 10:00am. The more people who can attend the better, surfers, non-surfers, ex-surfers, club members, non members etc. Just anybody who knew Len and wants to pay their respects. Bring some flowers!
See you at 10:00am Sunday.

i am not a label driven person,i often like clothing for a reason,a function!surfing is a freedom but you need functional things around you to help you stay warmer,surf more etc
since i have had a pair made,they dont rub,they fit proper,they dry quick, & churchill tested wich means along way back my grandpa might of worn something with the same material & that wrenches my heart (in a proud fashion)

so my waterproof camera was lost @ sea a couple of days ago!hopefully it will be like a message in a bottle & may just wash away to another beach or somebody may find it & carry on stopping time frame by frame:)
maybe somebodys metal detector will finally go ping after hours of silence!
it may be covered in a barnacle housing!
who knows.........
but i do remember some great lense capture of frolics in the foam ball!!
